Beginners classes
If you are new to Pilates our beginners course will take you through the basics, alignment, breathing and centering. Ready to move on to the mixed ability classes to continue your practice. We keep our classes small, so that you have the highest quality teaching and to allow for individual attention.
Mixed ability group classes
If you have done Pilates before, or have completed one of our beginners courses then you will be welcome in our mixed ability group classes. We keep our classes small so we can progress you at a safe and effective pace and work safely with any injuries or conditions you may have. These are primarily matwork classes but we mix it up with small equipment such as rollers, bands and balls to make the exercises more challenging and to keep the classes fun. All equipment including mats are provided.
1:1 sessions
One-to-one Pilates sessions are available at a private studio in Shepperton. They are hugely beneficial for learning the Pilates method and for the following areas in particular:
- Injury rehabilitation
- Back pain
- Pre & post-natal
- Starting out in Pilates
- Accelerating your results
- Gain confidence
The studio sessions are specifically designed for you and your body - you can expect to gain postural alignment, good core stability and excellent overall muscular awareness which in turn will significantly improve your strength, flexibility, tone and body shape quickly.
Pilates Studio Equipment
All private sessions utilise the original Pilates equipment, the reformer and cadillac, as well as small equipment.
The reformer is probably the most well known piece of studio equipment in Pilates, consisting of a wooden frame with a carriage on wheels that slides up or down. The carriage is attached to a number of different springs which provide variable resistance, allowing you to build strength and flexibility at your own pace.
A great variety of exercises can be performed on the Pilates cadillac from gentle, spring-assisted sit-ups to advanced exercises.
The reformer and cadillac offer exercises for all ages and abilities.
